Depuis 2011, la SRLF publie en collaboration avec SpringerOpen, un journal électronique international de langue anglaise, Annals of Intensive Care (AIC). C’est un journal publiant à la fois des revues générales et des travaux originaux de grande qualité. Grâce à l’importance du travail effectué par le Comité de Rédaction et à la qualité des articles publiés, un Impact Factor de 4,304 (5-year Impact Factor) a été attribué à AIC dès la première évaluation. Il est aujourd'hui, en 2022, de 10,3.
Le point important est que tout lecteur, à travers le monde, a un accès gratuit (« open access ») à l’ensemble du contenu qu’il peut lire et télécharger sans contrepartie financière, les coûts de publication étant assumés par les auteurs des articles.
Pour les auteurs membres de la SRLF, les coûts de publication sont très significativement réduits. Pour bénéficier de cet avantage, voir la procédure à suivre ci-dessous.
Tous les manuscrits sont soumis au principe de relecture (« peer-review »), et en cas d’acceptation définitive, sont publiés très rapidement sur le site d’AIC annalsofintensivecare.com et référencés dans PubMed.
La SRLF encourage fortement ses membres à y soumettre leurs travaux de recherche.

Submit manuscript to Peer Review System
- Editorial acceptance – email is sent to Author inviting them to verify their details
The new workflow for Authors is the following:
- Receive email after Editorial acceptance to start “Payments & Rights” workflow
- Click on link in the received email – they verify email address
- Log in
- Enter country of residence (if author is corresponding author)
- Enter the author’s affiliated institution/university – in the background this is checked against our database and either confirmed as correct or not
- Author will see the deal available – might be fully covered/partially covered or not covered at all
- Author has the choice to reject deal and pay for Open Access themselves or even change the institution selected in step 5 above
- Journal partner select and offer message – this is where the SRLF memberships will be displayed as options. Authors will see the “offer messages” below. This is the step where SRLF memberships options will be offered to the authors).
- This step allows authors to check their input and confirm
- Once completed, OASiS sends a request to the Article Approval Service where the Approver reviews and accepts/rejects the request – author would be notified
